Our groups are very small, maximum of 11 passengers to ensure our passing will have minimal effect on the villages and local ecosystems as we explore the hidden treasures of Maphrao Bay with its tropical lagoons, magical mangrove rivers and amazing forests. ★ The object of our one day trip from Phuket is to move quietly through an area that enjoys a lifestyle unchanged in decades and longer, while enjoying our very special pampering aboard the luxury cruiser the "Pitta".

★ Your first stop, after leaving Ao Chalong is Tapao Island, which is a nature lover's paradise, with beautiful forest walks where very old trees can be seen. For the fit, some of the paths can be quite steep, but if you prefer a more leisurely stroll you can always take a walk along the flats. Perhaps you will see Hornbill birds and many other species that can be heard, but you will really need to look hard into the mature, flourishing jungle to see them.

★ There is one of the oldest light houses in Thailand to be seen high up, you can walk up to it and explore the ancient buildings that surround the light house. It will be a short walk but with a gradually steep leafy path leading the way. There are magnificent panoramic views of Phuket to mesmerize and a great place for photography.

★ Next we will cruise down the 'Forgotten Waterway of The Thai Chin Canal', which separates the Island of Phuket and Koh Sirey, through the old Asian fishing port which is the largest in Phuket and then under the bridge and into the wilder side of the canal.

★ There are many water birds and Kingfishers to catch sight of along this stretch of water. While we Cruise quietly through traditional Thai fishing villages, you will have the chance to observe the fishermen at work as they use centuries old techniques and equipment to land their catch. If you desire we can visit a traditional village and experience the hospitality that is second nature to these wonderful folk and view the village scene.

★ Then onwards we go, for a gentle cruise, through the dense Mangrove Forest and out into the shallow waters of Maprao Bay. You may be lucky to see troops of wild monkeys and dazzling colourful birds including Sea Eagles, Hornbills and Kingfishers.

★ Between Coconut Island and Phuket are the incredible floating seafood restaurants of Laem Hin. These are amazing restaurants that float directly on the water and serve scrumptious fresh seafood. By prior arrangement, we can stop for lunch at one of the floating restaurants, or if you prefer you can be served and enjoy your feast onboard the "Pitta".

★ After lunch we will head off to Koh Rang a beautiful private island for swimming, watch a live pearl demonstration or visit an exquisite jewellery shop, selling gold and pearl masterpieces.

★ Ending a perfect day by cruising home along the other side of Koh Maprao and Koh Sirey and if we have time, more swimming, kayaking and snorkeling. Or simply sunbathe or do some fishing from the comfortable cockpit or the huge sundeck on the "Pitta", as she cruises onwards in paradise.
